| Each of us is trapped in a tiny little cage in our mind, that it appears we can never truly escape to visit those around us. So badly we pine to share a cage with some one else, even if for a little while to just know they truly exist. Everything we can do to feel closer to others that are just as trapped and lonely as us. This sounds very melodramatic and existentially angsty, but it's a subtle truth that many people never realize. Be it moving writing, stirring photos, or a really good hug at just the right time, each of us scratches at the walls trying to get out. |
